EMAT

Now: EMAT Crack ILI of Difficult-to-Inspect Small Diameter Pipelines

Our short-body, low drag EMAT Crack ILI tools provide superior navigability. They are ideal for low-pressure difficult-to-inspect, or unpiggable pipelines.  The system’s unidirectional, mode controlled guided waves resolve signal congestion issues allowing for improved flaw detection and sizing accuracy in small-diameters.

Applications: (format to style rules)

  • Liquid and Gas Pipelines
  • Gathering Pipelines
  • Transmission Pipelines
  • Distribution Mains
  • Cased Crossings
  • Process Pipelines

Specifications:

  • Will be capable of inspecting 8”, 10”, 12", and 14” diameter pipelines this year
  • Will inspect 16", 18", 20”, and 22" diameter pipelines in 2023
  • Free swimming at differential pressure as low as 50 psi
  • Operable pressure ranges from 200 to 2200 psi
  • Navigates back-to-back bends with >90° short radius turns
  • Tool tested through plane and full-bore restrictions
